Although there is an age limit for entry into the various levels, these parameters can be waived in individual cases by the Faculty at their discretion.
This is usually done in cases where the student –
a) either displays exceptionally good comprehension of language and skills
b) or is still not comfortable at the level he/she might be assigned to.
This issue will be decided on by the Faculty after the student has attended at least 4 classes.
Keeping this in mind, the usual age criterion is as follows
Starters - 07-10 years (Promotion to Juniors will be based on performance levels.)
Juniors - 11-15 years (Promotion to Young Adults will be based on performance levels. A student can join directly at this level after meeting necessary requirements.)
Young Adults - 16-19 years (Promotion to Seniors will be based on performance levels. A student can join directly at this level after meeting necessary requirements.)

Faculty retains the right to prevent students from appearing for examination if they feel the development of the student is not up to the mark. This decision can be taken by the Faculty even after a student has paid the examination fees, though the student will be made aware of this ‘possibility of failure to qualify’ before the fees are paid.
7.
In our experience, it is best for a student to stay at a level for at least a couple of years. However, that will not hamper the student from appearing for the various levels of examination for Persona, or the Trinity College, London.
8.
The Persona examinations, though cheaper, are tougher and more oriented towards requirements in India.
9.
The Persona course covers a much wider area than is required for the international examinations.
10.
Persona courses provide a good groundwork for admission in various other institutes for Theatre & Communication worldwide, although a qualification from Persona is sufficient by itself.
11.
Besides attending classes regularly, students are expected to apportion time to work on their own to develop their skills.
12.
All assignments need to be submitted before a student is allowed to appear for examinations.
13.
Regular assessments will be made by the Faculty, with or without the student's knowledge, and detailed feedback will be given to the students/ parents.
14.
Both the Persona and the International examinations are performance-based. There is no written examination. The examinees, however, will have to submit a folder of work regarding which they will be guided by the Faculty.
